Adele postpones 5 tour dates due to laryngitis

Adele has joked that stage fright makes her sick to her stomach, but now the singer is battling a different illness: laryngitis.
The chart-topping Brit has been forced to postpone five dates on her sold-out North American tour as a result, a statement says on her website. The “Rolling in the Deep” songstress was diagnosed last Thursday in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and doctors ordered immediate rest.
Although she held off on that Minneapolis show, she did try to take the stage in Denver that Saturday, but it was too soon to tune up. Her tour stops in Salt Lake City (May 29), Vancouver (May 31), Seattle (June 1) and Portland (June 3) have also been postponed.
The tour will pick up again in San Francisco on June 4, and her Minneapolis performance has been rescheduled for June 22.
Adele wrote on her website on May 26, "I’ve been told to cancel tonight's show in Minneapolis because my voice has gone. I hate to cancel especially at such short notice. I am truly devastated... Please forgive me! We have rescheduled for June 22nd and all tickets will be honoured. I hope to see you all then!"
